Summary
The City of Greenwood Village welcomes your interest in either the Senior Project Manager or the Project Manager II positions with the Public Works Department.
As a municipal organization, Greenwood Village is a provider of emergency services. Some emergency situations, including weather related emergencies, may necessitate Greenwood Village employees to assist in areas of work which may not be directly related to the employee’s specific job function, but which will be within the physical capabilities, training, and skills of the employee.
The Position (Senior Project Manager):

The purpose of this position is to lead and manage the environmental service areas to ensure safe, accessible, and aesthetically pleasing public infrastructure in the Village. The position provides leadership to service area staff; provides engineering expertise in the areas of drainage; designs small engineering related projects; and serves as project manager on capital improvement projects including the planning, coordinating, and supervising of the design, construction and maintenance of projects using City staff, consultants, and contractors.
Experience and Training Guidelines:
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience: Five years of increasingly responsible experience in drainage or civil engineering, including two years of administrative or supervisory responsibility.
Training: Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field.
Certificates or Licenses:
Possession of an appropriate, valid Certificate of Registration as a professional civil engineer. State of Colorado PE Registration within six months from date of hire.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to obtain coverage by the City's insurance carrier.
Salary range: $46.72-$75.14 per hour. ($97,177.60-$156,291.20 annually)
Target hiring range: $46.72-$68.04 per hour.
This position is EXEMPT (Salaried)
The Position (Project Manager II):
As the full journey level class within the Professional Engineering series; employees within this class are distinguished from the Project Manager I by the performance of the full range of duties as assigned including managing complex engineering projects. Employees at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit.
The purpose of this position is to provide engineering expertise in the areas of drainage; to conduct engineering and drainage studies; and to serve as project manager on capital improvement projects to ensure safe, clean, functional, aesthetically pleasing, and environmentally well-maintained infrastructure throughout the Village.
Experience and Training Guidelines:

Experience: Three years of responsible civil or environmental engineering experience.
Training: Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field.
Certificates or Licenses:
Possession of an appropriate, valid Certificate of Registration as an Engineering Intern, Registration as a Professional Engineer issued by the State of Colorado, Master’s Degree in Engineering or closely related field, Certified Landscape Architect, Project Management Professional (PMP), or American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to obtain coverage by the City's insurance carrier.
Salary range: $38.63-$59.50 per hour. ($80,350.40-$123,760.00 annually)
Target hiring range: $38.63-$54.28 per hour.

Additional Considerations:
Field work may involve hazardous situations, i.e., traffic areas, bridge structures, falling materials, fumes, confined space, drainage ways, trenches, etc. Must be physically capable of safely moving about on construction sites. Job requires occasional physical efforts such as lifting of objects weighing over 50lbs.
Requires shift, weekend, or off hour/day work; may receive calls on a 24-hour basis; and may be required to appear on-site as a result of an emergency situation during off-duty hours.
